The IT sector has witnessed rapid progress in the last two decades. The developments have had great impact on business world and information technology management is one of the key areas that can define the success of organisations today. With raising demand for technological solutions that can enhance efficiency, business organisations are keen about the happenings in the IT world. Cloud computing is one of the powerful technologies of recent times that has raised interest among companies. The technology increases scalability and flexibility of operations and organisations of all scales are investing on the technology to gain business advantages. The increased dependency on IT and internet for day-to-day business operations has also led to raise in concerns of protecting information that is communicated through networks. Many companies around the world have been victims to data security breach cases in recent times which has led to huge loss. Business organisations are concentrating on protecting their networks and there is raising demand for information security solutions. The need for new-age learning has motivated Sir Padampat Singhania University to start B.Tech CSE Cloud Technology and Information Security programme. The programme is specially designed to cover the knowledge and skill requirements of the industry.

The programme has been carefully planned to include vital subjects that help students during their professional careers. The curriculum is a combination of core IT subjects and specialisation subjects which are relevant to current industry.

  • Learn the basic subjects of computer science such as C programming, data structures, computer architecture and network security
  • Learn the principles of information security, virtualisation and cloud technology
  • Gain in depth knowledge about cryptography, Linux administration, cyber forensics and cloud web services
  • Work on projects that provide exposure to industry problems

Sir Padampat Singhania University has been established with the passing of the Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur Act, 2008 (Act No. 4 of 2008) by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rajasthan. Sir Padampat Singhania University is approved by UGC vide Notification No: F.9-8/2009(CPP-1) dated 13 April 2009 and is empowered to award degree as specified by the UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956.
